This Privacy Policy describes how your data is processed when you visit the website obiglab.com (hereinafter referred to as the "Site").

Data Controller

I am responsible for the processing of your data: Mykhailo Bik (Michael Bik), owner of the website obiglab.com (hereinafter referred to as "I", "me", or "my"), a sole trader registered in Ireland.

Data My Site Does NOT Collect

I adhere to the principle of data minimization. I have configured my site so that it does not collect, store, or process any data that violates your privacy:

• Cookies for tracking your behavior, advertising, or analytics (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.).
• Data about your location with street-level accuracy.
• I do not sell or transfer your data to marketing agencies or data brokers.

Hosting Server Logs (Automatic Processing)

My website is hosted on the Infomaniak Network SA platform (Switzerland). To ensure security, stability, and prevention of cyberattacks, the hosting provider's servers automatically record technical logs.

• What data: IP address, browser type, operating system, date and time of request, page URL.
• Legal basis: Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — ensuring network and information security.
• Where and how long stored: Logs are stored exclusively on Infomaniak servers. According to their technical policy, log access and storage are guaranteed for a minimum of 7 days, after which they are automatically deleted. The exact duration may depend on the provider's technical processes.
• My access: I technically can view these logs only during the period they are stored by the provider. I do not use them to identify individuals under normal circumstances and do not create separate copies.

Processing Data via Contact Form

The Site contains a contact form. When used, I process data that you provide voluntarily.

• What data: Name, email address, message text.
• Purpose: Exclusively to respond to your request and maintain communication.
• Legal basis: Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or performance of actions at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Storage period:
  • Standard inquiries: Data is stored until the dialogue is concluded, but no longer than 12 months after the last contact.
  • Finance and contracts: If correspondence concerns payments, contracts, or taxes, data is stored for 6 years in accordance with Irish legislation. In this case, the right to deletion is restricted by law.
• Transfer to third parties: Data is not transferred, except for technical email delivery (mail servers) or legal requirements.

Payments and Voluntary Support

If you choose to support the project via the "Contribute" button:

• Process: You are redirected to the secure payment page of the provider Revolut.
• Card data: I do not see, process, or store your bank card data or any other sensitive payment information. All financial information is processed directly by the payment provider. Your data processing is governed by the Revolut Privacy Policy.
• What I see: I receive only a notification of the transaction (amount, name), which is stored for 6 years for accounting purposes.

Transfer of Data to Government Authorities

I do not transfer data to third parties, except in cases where I am obliged to do so by lawful requests from government authorities, such as official requests from the Revenue Commissioners, courts, or law enforcement agencies.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Even with minimal data collection, you possess all the rights of a data subject under the GDPR. You have the right to:

• Request confirmation of the processing of your data.
• Obtain access to the data I hold about you (e.g., a copy of correspondence).
• Request rectification of inaccurate data.
• Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten"), provided there are no legal grounds for further storage.
• Request restriction of processing.
• Receive your data in a structured format (right to data portability), where technically applicable.
• Withdraw consent to processing (if it was given).
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Ireland, this is the Data Protection Commission: www.dataprotection.ie).

How to exercise your rights: Since I do not engage in profiling or maintain databases for marketing purposes, the exercise of these rights is handled via a simplified procedure. Simply write to me at michael@obiglab.com , and I will respond within 1 month.

I may update this policy. The current version is always posted on this page with the update date.
